Jabiru Geneebeinga Wetlands

The Jabiru Genebeeinga Wetlands are a natural habitat area that provides a sanctuary for native birds and other wildlife. Situated adjacent to the Casino Golf Club alongside Queensland Road, the wetlands are a short drive from the CBD, providing public facilities for recreational and educational pursuits.

At the entrance, a picnic area is provided along with observation points and maintained walkways ensuring visual access to wildlife whilst keeping disturbance to a minimum.

The Jabiru Genebeeinga Wetlands also incorporates the Casino Mini Railway tour which conducts train rides every Sunday through the wetlands and to the Old Casino Station Museum, an important historical facet of Casino’s part, when the town served as a major railhead.
